Treatment step-by-step

  • (1) Consultation

    During a Nythia collagen treatment consultation, our expert practitioner will meet with you and discuss your aesthetic goals. This essential step guarantees a personalized treatment plan precisely tailored to meet your specific needs.

  • (2) Before Treatment

    Ahead of the treatment, we recommend that you avoid 48hours direct sun exposure, aggressive chemical peels, and alcohol, as well as skip certain medications that might contribute to excessive bruising after the procedure.

  • (3) During Treatment

    The aesthetician will begin the procedure by gently cleansing and sanitizing the treatment area. If you are sensitive, we encourage you to let us know. For added comfort, you will be offered the option of using a numbing cream.
    When the patient arrives at Clinic, first he/she is consulted with the Nithya therapist. The therapist examines the patient’s skin on the face, neck, décolletage and hands to determine if the patient is a suitable candidate for this treatment. Also, the therapist discusses with the patient his/her goals and expectations from the treatment. The patient talks about the previous medical conditions or if he/she has any allergies. Then the treatment plan is created that will specifically address the patient’s skin concerns.
    When the treatment starts, the therapist prepares the Nithya product and places it into a syringe. The Nithya package consists of a glass bottle that contains equine type I collagen in a form of a powder. It is completely sterile and pyrogen-free. The therapist dilutes the Nithya powder with double distilled water or saline. Finally, the therapist injects the collagen with very fine needles into the strategically targeted points on the patient face, neck, décolletage or hands. The needles are injected at a 15degrees angle into the dermis. The therapist may need several injections all depending on the severity of skin concerns. The therapist massages the injected sites to make sure that the collagen is evenly smoothed out.
    The treatment takes around 30 minutes.

  • (4) After Treatment

    Please avoid touching the treated area at least for 6 hours after the treatment. The treated area can be washed with a gentle cleanser and water. Please avoid heat from sunbeds or direct sunlight or to extreme cold for at least 48 hours, as well as strenuous exercise, saunas and hot showers. Please Avoid medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen, and supplements such as multivitamins, fish oils, glucosamine and vitamins B and E for 1-2 weeks. (Please check this with your GP first) Please Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, and please avoid active ingredients within skincare such as AHAs, retinols and vitamin C as well as oil-based makeup for 24 hours. Avoid facials, facial waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks following treatment. A cold compress should be applied within the first 24 hours after your treatment. Avoid putting the ice directly onto your skin – use a towel to wrap the ice. This will help reduce swelling.

Nithya treatment is suitable for both men and women older than 25, who wish to boost the production of collagen, reduce the fine lines around the eyes and restore the lost volume in the cheeks. Also, ideal candidates are patients who want to make their skin firmer and thicker, or who wish to rejuvenate and soften their skin on the neck and décolletage or even body areas.
Nithya treatment is not suitable for ladies who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, patients who are prone to keloid scars, or suffer from auto-immune diseases or diabetes should avoid this treatment. Patients who have inflammations around the targeted areas, take blood thinners medications, have dermatological skin illnesses or have a herpetic infection.
Since the Nithya treatment is only minimally invasive, there is little to no downtime. The patient doesn’t need to take time off work or social activities.
Typically, some patients experience tenderness, bruising, swelling and mild pain on the injected sites. All the sensitivities should stop after a few days.
The initial results like the plumping of the skin can be seen really quickly after the treatment. As time passes, the skin gets more and more rejuvenated. The patient notices that his/her skin is becoming firmer, hydrated, smoother and radiant - all because of the new collagen that is building up. The effects of lifting and tightening start to be visible.
Usually, a course of Nithya treatments involves three or four-session two weeks spaced out. The first results are visible 10 to14 days after the first treatment session.
Results can last from 12 to 18 months all depending on the patient’s age and lifestyle.
Since Nithya collagen is natural it doesn’t last forever. Over time, the protein gradually breaks down and is absorbed by the patient’s body. The patient may decide to have additional touch-ups to maintain the results.
